White Dorper
A sheep breed known for its exceptional adaptability and ability to gain weight on pasture alone.
Adult sheep weigh 50–80 kg, rams weigh 90–120 kg.
One of the most prolific sheep breeds. Dorper reproduction is not limited to seasons — with proper breeding, offspring can be produced all year round. Lambing intervals can be 8 months. As a rule, there are 150 lambs per 100 ewes, and in some cases even 180.
The average daily gain in extensive conditions is 80–90 g, in intensive production conditions — 160–200 g. Slaughter yield is 50–60%. Dorper lambs have a rapid growth rate and good weight at weaning. At the age of 3–4 months, they can reach 36 kg of live weight. These indicators are associated with the innate potential for stable growth and their ability to graze from an early age.
